Hi Powel Families,
This is Jessica Spak, Secretary of the Powel Home and School Association. I am reaching out because we are having a membership drive! We are asking all member families (if you are able) to contribute at least $5 to renew your membership. We haven’t had a membership drive since before Covid, so this is a really important way for us to start our school year!
We will be using funds to help fund teacher grants and teacher appreciation, fun and engaging events for Powel families, enrichment materials and more!
I will be in the Powel Schoolyard at drop-off every day this week. You can find me then or feel free to fill out the membership renewal form attached and email it back to me. If you are able to donate, we can accept cash, check or PayPal donation.Checks should be made out to: Powel Home and School Association

As a fun incentive, the class that raises the most money by the end of September will get a pizza and fruit party!!!
We also will have a drawing for a school supply gift basket this coming Friday. Every person that submits a form back to me this week, will receive a ticket for the lottery, and everyone that is able to give $5 or more will get an additional ticket for the drawing (that’s one of the reasons why we need the forms filled out and given back to us).
The amounts listed on the attached document are some great examples of what your donation can help support!
Lastly, we are always looking for volunteers. Powel has a long and rich history of parent involvement, and that is one of the many things that makes Powel such a special school. You can volunteer 1x or all year long. The more families that are engaged, the better. Please indicate on the form if you are interested in volunteering, and we will reach out to you with more information!
